Last Friday, my year at school went on an excursion to a historical house nearby. We then also went to a museum nearby that has other facts about history. The house we went to was built all the way back in the 1800s. There was lots of very old furniture and lots of intersting items that they used to use. I learnt about how they used their fridges and it was cool. They would have a kind of cupboard door with a tray sitting on top full of water and it would leak down the sides of the fridge and come back to the top. There were also old fashiond toilets, bathrooms, beds, windmills, wells and the walls were made of a different material. at the museum we learnt about how the roads were built from dirt paths to wooden planks up to our roads now. We also learnt that our suberb was named after a man that had lived.
